Privacy Policy
How edaga.events handles personal information.

1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Edaga collects, uses, discloses and protects personal information when you use edaga.events. The platform is operated by Edaga Inc., a corporation incorporated under the Canada Business Corporations Act (Corporation No. 1801228-8; Quebec NEQ 1182281734), with its registered office at 3-1070 Rue de la Sucrerie, Montreal, QC H3K 2G9.
We handle personal information under applicable Canadian privacy law, including Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector as amended by Law 25, and the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), where applicable.

3. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account information, such as name, email address, password in hashed form, and sign-in provider details.
- Profile and preference information, such as home city, followed profiles, alert choices and WhatsApp number.
- Ticket and order information, such as event, ticket tier, quantity, order status, QR or serial ticket data and payment status.
- Promoter information, such as organization name, contact person, email, city, past event links and submitted event details.
- Communications you send to us, including support requests, promoter applications and feedback.
Information collected automatically
- Device and usage data, such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referral URLs and interactions.
- Cookies or similar technologies needed for authentication, language preference, security and analytics.
Information from third parties
- If you sign in with Google, Apple or Facebook, we receive basic profile information such as name and email.
- Payment processors may send payment, refund, chargeback and fraud-status information.
- Promoters, venues or partners may provide event, ticketing or support information related to an event.
4. Why we use information
We use personal information with your consent or as otherwise permitted by law to:
- Create, secure and manage accounts.
- Show relevant profiles, cities, events, tickets and recommendations.
- Send profile follow alerts, event updates, ticket confirmations, QR tickets and account notices.
- Process ticket purchases, refunds, disputes and fraud checks where ticketing is available.
- Review promoter applications and operate event submission, scanning and promoter tools.
- Provide customer support, including by email, WhatsApp or in-app channels where available.
- Operate, secure, troubleshoot, measure and improve the platform.
- Comply with legal, tax, accounting and consumer-protection obligations.
We send marketing or promotional electronic messages only with consent or as otherwise permitted by Canada's anti-spam law. You can unsubscribe from marketing messages at any time. Transactional messages, such as account, ticket, security and event-status notices, are sent as needed to provide the platform.
5. Artificial intelligence in support
Customer-support tools may use AI assistance to help answer questions, summarize issues or route conversations. Messages may be processed by a third-party AI provider for this purpose. The AI does not make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you without human involvement.
6. Who we share information with
We do not sell personal information. We share it only as needed to operate the platform:

Service providers are required to use personal information only to provide services to us.
7. Transfers outside Quebec or Canada
Some service providers may process personal information outside Quebec or Canada, including in the United States. Before disclosing personal information outside Quebec, we assess whether it receives adequate protection, taking into account sensitivity, purpose, safeguards and the legal framework of the destination.
8. Retention
We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described above and for legal, accounting, tax, fraud-prevention and dispute-resolution requirements. We then delete, destroy or anonymize it.

9. Your rights
Subject to legal limits, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct information that is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date.
- Withdraw consent to non-essential uses and unsubscribe from marketing.
- Receive computerized personal information you provided in a structured, commonly used technological format, as provided under Quebec Law 25.
- Request de-indexing or deletion where legal conditions are met.
- Be informed about the reasons and main factors of any decision based exclusively on automated processing, if applicable.
To exercise these rights, contact privacy@edaga.ca. We generally respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Commission d'acces a l'information du Quebec or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
10. Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, language preference, security, analytics and service improvement. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Some cookies are necessary for the platform to work.
11. Security
We use reasonable physical, technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including encryption in transit, access controls and reputable service providers. No transmission or storage method is completely secure.
12. Privacy incidents
If a confidentiality incident presents a risk of serious injury, we will notify the Commission d'acces a l'information and affected individuals as required by law, and take reasonable measures to reduce risk.
13. Children
The platform is not intended for children under 13. Ticket purchases and promoter tools are intended for adults. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact privacy@edaga.ca.
14. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, provide additional notice where appropriate.
